DINING AREA

In order to create a large, bright, all inclusive kitchen and family room, the old utility and boiler rooms were relocated so the space could be transformed. The addition of a bay window and a new opening in the wall above the Aga allowed light to flow through all the areas. The use of  simple, clean lines and fresh, natural materials provided a perfect backdrop for artwork.

KITCHEN

Traditional cabinetry with contemporary details provides a calm, understated, functional space with maximum storage.

FAMILY AREA

This was formerly a two storey space with bedrooms and a series of small rooms. We completely reconfigured the space, removed the top floor and braced the original chimney stack to provide a double height, imposing room. A mezzanine library area was created with a new utility and shower room below. A comfortable seating area leads out to a new covered veranda and garden.

DINING ROOM / KITCHEN

An additional opening was made to link the dining room and kitchen area to help the kitchen gain more light.
